Scope of the role:
To support the Production Control function by maintaining accurate data, assisting with scheduling and material coordination, and ensuring smooth day-to-day administration of production activities.
Acts as a key link between production, stores, purchasing, and engineering to help ensure jobs flow through the factory on time and in line with plan.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Assist with maintaining production schedules and updating system data
- Update job progress in ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP)
- Maintain accurate system data (orders, dates, quantities, statuses)
- Support material availability checks and highlight shortages
- Coordinate materials between stores and production
- Liaise with production, stores, purchasing, and engineering teams
- Chase and expedite late or urgent jobs
- Update daily/weekly production trackers and reports
- Provide general administrative support to the Production Control team
- Understand, and work at all times in line with Fives Values and Directives; specifically following the highest standards of health and safety.
- Responsible for all aspects of Data Protection, Information Security and Cyber Security.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational skills
- Basic Excel and IT system skills
- Good communication ability
- Desirable: Experience in manufacturing or ERP systems (SAP)
- Ability to work alone or part of a team.
- Able to manage own time and meet tight deadlines.
