POSITION SUMMARY:
The HR & EHS Business Lead serves as a trusted extension of the Vice President of Human Resources & EHS while providing business coordination across the Human Resources and Environmental Health & Safety functions.
This role is responsible for supporting the execution of departmental priorities through executive support, leadership operating coordination, strategic initiative coordination, executive communications, reporting governance, and compliance administration. The position serves as a central point of coordination for the HR and EHS leadership teams, ensuring priorities remain aligned, projects continue moving forward, communications are effective, and leadership commitments are executed.
The successful candidate will combine exceptional organizational capability with strong business acumen, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work independently in a challenging environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary support resource to the Vice President of HR & EHS.
- Manage executive calendars, scheduling priorities, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.
- Coordinate leadership meetings, strategy sessions, departmental reviews, and team offsites.
- Prepare presentations, executive briefings, reports, and meeting materials.
- Maintain executive action-item tracking and ensure timely follow-through on commitments.
- Anticipate leadership needs and proactively identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Coordinate recurring leadership meetings, strategic planning sessions, compliance reviews, budget reviews, and team planning activities.
- Develop agendas and ensure supporting materials are prepared and distributed in advance.
- Track decisions, commitments, and deliverables resulting from leadership meetings.
- Monitor deadlines, milestones, and departmental priorities.
- Escalate risks, delays, or barriers impacting team execution.
- Coordinate and maintain visibility of strategic HR and EHS initiatives.
- Maintain audit, compliance, certification, and reporting calendars.
- Coordinate activities for regulatory, Group, and internal audits.
- Track corrective actions, audit findings, and follow-up activities.
- Monitor compliance obligations and escalate overdue items or emerging concerns.
- Support departmental budget administration, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate invoices, purchase requests, vendor documentation, and contract records.
- Assist with annual planning and budget preparation activities.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Communications, Organizational Leadership, or related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of progressive experience supporting executives, business operations, project coordination, or organizational administration.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and other related applications.
- Strong coordination and organizational management skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a demanding environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.

TRAVEL
Occasional travel may be required to support leadership meetings, strategic planning sessions, employee engagement activities, training events, organizational initiatives, audits, and other business-related activities. Travel is expected to be 10-20% and may include overnight travel.
