Fives Landis Corp – Gardner Abrasives is actively seeking a Product Specialist to join its team in South Beloit, Illinois.

Salary Range: 65K – 75K (salary is determined by experience)
At Gardner Abrasives we all have a part to play in achieving our common purpose. Your role as a Product Specialist will be to:
- Demonstrate added value of Gardner products to improve customer process and demonstrate cost savings.
- Support the sales team with identifying new business and marketing growth opportunities.
- Ability to perform product and applications analysis and identify product improvements and solutions.
- Provide customer quotations; product descriptions, and material specifications.
- Act as a technical resource for outside sales, customer service, and marketing team.
- Travel and test products at customer sites when required.
- Regularly interact with the manufacturing plant to learn, test, and improve product performance.
- Ability to learn machine processes, technical products, and configurations.
- Ability to generate and maintain product performance reports, forecasts, application opportunities, and trends.
At Gardner Abrasives and under the direction of the Production Control Supervisor, you will join the Application Engineering team.

We are seeking a candidate who has at minimum a high school diploma, 1-5 years of sales experience or application experience in machining preferred. Cutting tool, dressing tool, and/or grinding experience preferred. Required strong oral & written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Strong use of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint a plus. If you are a self-starter, able to work independently and work within a team setting, then we are eager to change the world with you!
