Assembler

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assembler/Millwright is responsible for reading prints/drawings and using various manufacturing equipment and hand tools to build assemblies according to print specifications. The Assembler will interact with and support other shop associates in the performance of these duties. The Assembler will report to the Assembly Supervisor and will perform any and all duties as requested.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Read and follow prints/drawings, work instructions, and procedures to assemble equipment.
2. Determine assembly sequence.
3. Retrieve, assemble, and attach component parts and sub-assemblies to products based on engineering specifications.
4. Performs various hand assemblies, fitting and adjusting operations, of a repetitive nature.
5. Rework non-conforming parts and products.
6. Adjusts the equipment according to the drawing and instructions.
7. Assembles all drive line technologies and electrical wiring circuits according to a specification, drawing, and instruction.
8. Tests the equipment according to the work card and instructions using the test box.
9. Completes the quality checklists correctly.
10. Perform work in accordance with Company safety rules and guidelines.
11. Lift, load, sort, and move materials, supplies, finished product between storage and work areas in a safe manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Mechanically inclined: use of hand/air/power tools (drills, impact wrenches, c-clamps, and rivet guns).

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings/prints, and procedure manuals.
• Critical Soft Skills: Detail-Oriented, Sense of Urgency, Effectiveness in Pressure Situations.
• Previous work experience as an Assembler or Millwright is preferred.
• Overhead Crane and Rigging knowledge/experience is a plus.
